About the Event
October is AAC Awareness Month! We are celebrating by holding an educational event about AAC. What is AAC, you ask? AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and it's basically all the ways people can communicate besides talking. A representative from the group Communication is Key will be presenting, as well as knowledgeable speech and language providers. Learn about different communication devices and software, how to encourage communication in your child, and how to model using AAC for others. This event will be useful for parents and educators whether your children are non-verbal or not.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Kari Norton, PAC Enrichments Chair: rcspacenrichments@gmail.com
This event will occur in person at the Media Center at Rochester High School, but it will also be presented virtually via Google Meet
